I'm a multidisciplinary designer working across brand, 3D, product, interiors and digital since 2007. I co-founded Robusta, led design at Mazadat, and today I'm a partner at Onari Design Group. I've worked with clients in 10 countries, and outside client work I paint, draw and take photographs.

   • Worked on the brand and visual identity from scratch.
   • Designed the pre-launch landing page.
   • Supervised a designer working on the main product design.

3. Independent multidisciplinary designer2021–2026Clients and agencies worldwide
   • Provided design support and product visualisation to Modern Sustainable Water during product development, over three years.
   • Made animated greetings, wedding invitations and birth announcements for Akhayel.
   • Designed packaging for Fudbroker's fresh fruit and prunes.
   • Redesigned and visualised Oasis soft drink packaging for e-commerce.
   • Made 3D product visualisations for e-commerce and launches: Humanity+ (supplements), Brehd (candles) and Minted (a health product).
   • Made a 3D animated website announcement for Aethers.
   • Designed a playing-cards mailer box for Dan Goldin.
   • Provided design support to Per Aspera, a media platform, under Dan Goldin's supervision.

   • Helped build an online auction platform.
   • Led the design team, with art direction and creative direction across the product and brand.
   • Designed the visual identity and the landing page.
   • Designed the interior of Mazadat's first physical service point.
   • Worked with the developers to resolve design issues in the build.
5. Product design2019–2021Idea in Motion, Trapeze and TechTag, Egypt and Switzerland
   • Designed GPR3 (codenamed IBEX) for Trapeze, working with the Trapeze and IIM engineering teams.
   • Designed digital products for Trapeze.
   • Designed IBEX-2 for TechTag, a premium home product combining a high-end Wi-Fi router and a 4-bay HDD NAS.
   • Led a junior product designer.
   • Designed presentations and extended IIM's visual identity, with internal communication material and templates.

   • Bridged a capacity gap in the design team and worked on several client projects (web design).
   • Prepared and presented a design principles course for seven UX designers, to raise the visual quality of the team's output.

   • Made marketing material for The Four Fat Ladies, GE, AAIB, Domty, Minapharm, Burger King Qatar and Peugeot Qatar.
   • Created a few logos.
   • Assisted with photography and videography on location and in the studio.
   • Prepared pitches for new accounts, winning some.
   • Worked with the marketing, video, animation and graphic design teams.
8. Independent multidisciplinary designer2014–2019Clients and agencies
   • Designed EGBANK's responsive website under contract with Robusta Studio, building on the homepage their team had designed and working with EGBANK's marketing team.
   • Made brand and print material for Al Rida Investment (brochure and roll-up banners) for Sync Media Co, a Kuwait agency I worked with under a retainer.
   • Through Sync Media Co, also made social media and marketing material for Melting Point, a restaurant in Kuwait, and for Kuwait Star, a travel agency.
   • Redesigned the Keys Group logo and made brand communication material for InovaSys.
   • Designed academic posters.
9. Graphic designer (part-time), web design tutor2008–2013German University in Cairo
   • Designed the university's main website, and the website and course management system for the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biotechnology.
   • Designed academic project posters for the Faculty of Information Engineering and Technology.
   • Planned and taught the technical part (HTML and CSS) of a web design crash course for a graduating class of Applied Sciences and Arts students.

Education

Studied digital media engineering (2003–2006), then graphic design at the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Arts (2008–2014), at the German University in Cairo, without completing a degree.
